How to utilize this collaborative space
A breakdown of how to navigate this space and share your words in community.

When I start Being in Motherhood, I thought I could write about motherhood endlessly. I could but it quickly became boring to me to write my own thoughts without other people contributing.
So, I started the Unspoken Words series. In this series, I invite mother’s to answer questions related to what is hard for them to say or admit about motherhood. Then, I share these words with all of you.
After a few weeks of this, my wheels started turning. I love reading other mother’s words. I tear up when I read each submission. I feel less alone with each mother’s contribution.
But, this was not satisfying me creatively and that led to an idea.
Another series, I am beginning called Motherhood Musings.
This series is more collaborative. I am asking you to submit your words, your art, your voice, etc. when it comes to answering questions around specific topics related to and surrounding motherhood.
My intention is to gather your words, arrange them into probably multiple posts with my words and thoughts interweaving it all.
In true Being in Motherhood fashion, this is an invitation to share your truths, experiences, and insights. It is an opportunity for us all to connect and converse around a topic. In hopes we will leave our reading and sharing feeling more grounded, connected, and presenced in motherhood and life.
I am currently in the process of weaving your words together for the topic of your expectations of motherhood compared to your reality of motherhood, I will be sharing soon!
Love,
Emma

Hi Emma, I loved your Unspoken Words with Lauren Barber and look forward to exploring the rest of the series. Your new series sounds really interesting, my perceptions and unfolding realities in motherhood are very much in contrast with each other! Thank you for creating space to talk about this xx
Also have found such relief in the Unspoken Words interviews. It made me dare to be braver with myself, asking and telling myself more truth about motherhood, I appreciate that x
